A competition law compliance programme aims to identify potential risks arising in a company’s day-to-day commercial activities at an early stage, strengthen employee awareness and help the business prepare for a possible review by the Turkish Competition Authority.
The programme is tailored to the client’s sector, organisational structure and commercial practices.
Review of Key Agreements from a Competition Law Perspective
Key agreements to which the client is a party are reviewed from a competition law perspective. The findings and recommendations are then reported in a manner designed to support the client’s decision-making process.
Competition Law Fundamentals Training
Competition law fundamentals training is tailored to the client’s sectors of activity and commercial practices. The training covers:
- The purpose of competition law and the importance of compliance
- Conduct prohibited under Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition
- The consequences of non-compliance with Law No. 4054
- The on-site inspection process
On-Site Inspection Simulation
A simulation of an on-site inspection by the Turkish Competition Authority is conducted at the client’s premises. Risks identified during the exercise are reported, and the client is informed of measures that may be considered in response.
Detailed Data Review
To assess competition law compliance, keyword-based reviews may be carried out across business email accounts and work devices, including computers, phones and tablets, used by personnel in key roles. Findings are categorised and reported together with recommendations.
This work is conducted with due regard to applicable data protection, privacy, employment law and access-authorisation requirements.
